The future of the Democratic Party must be rooted in investing in the American people — not Wall St., corporations, and consultants.

Otherwise, Trumpism will continue to use cynicism, racism, and distrust to divide America.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

We're focused on trying to solve the parking problem but we should be focused on how to build convenient, affordable, and plentiful alternatives to people needing to drive everywhere. Fund more transit, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure.
Text: “Two parking spaces should have been the standard. Most residents cannot rely on public transit to get to work, school, or the grocery store.

“Moving forward, we need to take a more realistic look at how people live today. Future planning goals shouldn’t come at the expense of current taxpayers.”

Cipriani said the solution is the city giving more consideration for parking based on density.

"This is rather alarming, I fear this is the end of recycling in Ontario,” stated regional Councillor Natasha Salonen. “That is no reflection on our staff; I’m more so talking about the broader changes that have been made provincially.”

Trump's big, ugly budget megabill gave ICE more cops than the FBI, more jails than the federal Bureau of Prisons, and a larger budget than most countries' militaries. Once the bill is fully implemented, nowhere in America will be safe from Trump's secret police state.

This just keeps getting worse. The Ford government gave $2 million to a dental brokerage run by a PC donor connected to the minister’s family.

Doug Ford’s Skills Development Fund keeps looking more like a friends-and-family plan.💰 #onpoli

So now we officially have a 2 tier health system in Alberta. Pharmacies can order the Covid Vaccine and charge people.
Pharmacies can't give public supplied. If you have insurance you may have coverage. Families without insurance or not in phase #1 are left in the lurch. Alberta Advantage!

A basic income trial that included only unpaid caregivers saw significantly more employment compared to the control. Clearly that was because many of them wanted employment but couldn't afford childcare. That's also an argument for universal childcare, but only UBI enables both paid and unpaid work.
