Ask Colombia how difficult it is to protect oil infrastructure from guerrilla attack. Ask Occidental Petroleum how hard it was to defend the Caño Limón–Coveñas pipeline (called “the flute” because of all the holes from attacks). Congress had to appropriate $98 million to protect it in 2003.

I think it’s great if that’s the case but my point is actually the opposite. They’re probably losing revenue from people who don’t want to stay in ICE hotels where there are protesters banging drums all night.
