Real-life inspiration for "Dungeons of Hinterberg": Hallstatt in Upper Austria is a beautiful village with a massive overtourism problem. We had a rare chance to see it when it was pretty empty after Covid started and traveling wasn't much of a thing.

Real-life inspiration for "Dungeons of Hinterberg": There's an actual annual Onion Festival in Laa an der Thaya in Lower Austria. We never went to the festival, but when we saw their poster, we knew this had to go into the game! 🧅

Dungeons of Hinterberg is the most charming thing I've played in years of PC gaming. Part dungeon crawl, part cozy-game - spend the afternoons completing quests, spend the rest of the day making friends, exploring & shopping in a fictional modern-day Austrian town. Challenging, but never cruel.
