In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.

My vision: Top Ride comes back in Air Riders but it's got motion controls, you move the controller around and it rotates the whole course from the top-down view so you can guide your racer around, that's right, it's Tilt-and-Roll Kirby again, Tilt-and-Roll Kirby is in every video game now

Enjoyed learning that Nintendo Pictures hasn't actually been working on exclusively Nintendo stuff since its acquisition so like a third of its credits so far are just Precure seasons

Do you think the person who programmed the Egg Bomb TM into Gen I was proud of themselves for deciding "this move is too good to be restricted to 2 Pokemon, we need to make it accessible to the pre-evolution of one of the Pokemon that normally learns it and nobody else"

The list of Pokemon that can learn Egg Bomb through TM37 in the first generation of Pokemon games. It includes only four Pokemon: Exeggutor and Chansey, who naturally learn the move via level-up; Exeggcute, the pre-evolution of Exeggutor; and Mew, a Pokemon who was only added into the game two weeks before development on the original games were finished and learns every single available TM move.
