My first exposure to her was when my brother played the St Anne's concert CD for me. So damn good. (I knew about Broken English and that she hung with the Velvet Underground, but that was about it.)

So what is the word for that weird smell/taste/feeling in the head when you have a cold or sinus infection or whatever this is that I've got? I just call it sick-head but does it have an actual name?

He need to be impeached again. BUT! NOT without first quietly polling the Senate to see if there is support for conviction. Because immpeachment is impotent without conviction.

The problem with the first and second times was that the House leaders who pushed them knew there would be no conviction.

A word that needs a comeback.
Word of the day is ‘quockerwodger’ (19th century): a puppet politician whose strings are pulled entirely by someone else.

THIS! THIS! THISTHISTHISTHIS!!

Real allies don't have to tell people they are allies.
Reminder I stopped calling myself anyone's "ally" years ago when I realized it's not my place to declare myself one. It is on my actions to be seen as one.

Hmmmm . . .
"Platner is also the proprietor and president of the Frenchman Bay Oyster Company, where he reported the value of his equipment as $50,000 to $100,000 and disclosed a business loan of between $15,000 and $50,000. But he did not report any income."

Graham Platner’s federal disclosure offers few details on personal finances
The Hancock County oyster farmer and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate filed his overdue financial disclosure last week, but it said little about his income.

Just had a leftist at the Facey place -- who was wailing on and on about AIPAC and Graham Platner's step-brother -- tell me that conflating Zionism amd Judaism is anti-Semitic.

Uh, whut? So all those ZionistJews are anti-Semitic because it's part of their identity? How ... what ... why ...?

So apparently not ALL the leftists in Maine are falling in love with Platner.
"As a long-time socialist/feminist and historian of labor, I feel deeply torn — attracted in many ways to his progressive determination yet caught up by his . . . total lack of judgment."

Maine’s hottest Senate race is a strange toss-up | Opinion
I will continue to watch and listen to Graham Platner. I will also listen, again and again, to Gov. Janet Mills.

And, of course, zero evidence of any proof of him "working for" those people.
He didn't. He just peddled his influence with anyone who would let him.

I just watched an episode of Wild West Chronicles about Stagecoach Mary Field.

Sara Gideon was the speaker of the house, in her 40’s, & had an agenda focused on healthcare access, green energy, & campaign finance reform & lost by over 8.

Gov. Mills is easily the strongest option in what’s 1 of the oldest states in the U.S.. Especially w/ Wood now running for Golden’s seat. 🤷‍♂️
Is there not one progressive in the Maine legislature that wants to give it a go? There must be better than this out there.
He also failed to file the personal financial disclosure that was due in September because it’s due within 30 days of launch. He’s now 8 weeks delinquent.

May wanna read the whole article for how bad it looks with full context.

All of this.
Thank you.
This is going to be very nuanced and very divisive. I hope you will do me the courtesy of reading the whole thing and digesting it before commenting.

Okay?

Good, here goes:

I think many people in our party misunderstand what a congressional leader is.
