mas cada temporada vai ser uma história e cada história tem começo, meio e fim. os personagens existem em um contexto histórico e o GRRM tem o plano de escrever mais aventuras, mas acho bem diferente do caso de GOT

starting out in the intro i'm already floored. i literally learned japanese because I grew up at the same time as the author and wanted to actually learn more and engage better with the same games. Don't call your book definitive and play semantic games with SuFami vs SNES,

"Asking what each game is ABOUT means much more than simply reciting plot or sharing historical information. The thematic approach that this book takes would have turned a smaller project into one that could eat up more than a decade. By my count, there are well over a hundred Super Famicom RPGs that never saw a western release in their day. We also have to reconcile with the facts that not every SFC RPG has had a complete fan translation into English and most readers of this book won't be familiar with many of them anyway. I don't speak or read Japanese, and make no mistake: You probably need to be able to read the text in order to play those RPGs and understand them.

This is a massive thread about that new "Definitive" book about Super Nintendo RPGs... and it's a total dumpster fire, from the looks of things. Terrible analysis, seemingly stolen assets for images, and from an author who outright dismisses entire games solely because they stayed in Japan.

Meanwhile, said CRPG Guide I mentioned? By that author's own admission that took over a decade to make, and the quality of it shows because it's an outstanding book. Buy that from Bitmap Books instead!
