Missing the GPF live viewing because of traveling but I had a nightmare last night that I arrived at a skating competition late and had been signed in the wrong division (pairs) and had forgotten my blades .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

Anyway can't believe I can't resume skating lessons before next September ;; But I'm visiting France again for a couple weeks soon so I can freely go to my birth town rink and skate for a bit there~~

I know someone in Japan who spent 2 yrs in an expensive language school to reach N1, has many Japanese friends, works in a restaurant and now studies in a standard uni there etc.. but still asks chatgpt to translate EVERYTHING for her before she speaks or writes

Those were commin discussions already years ago about how it was gonna develop that way seeing the direction the system was taking back then, and would you guess what indeed ended up happening over time ╮(╯_╰)╭

in the current system, if you have only one of those things (quads or good skating skills), the person with quads will win, and that's what i don't like. it's not that i think quads shouldn't be worth anything, but someone with strong spins and stsq and clean triples should be competitive too

Anyway one of my thankfully short but still negative exps in Helsinki on Saturday were them racist Finns around me mocking Mone's Japanese speech. Kind of expected it to happen bc of past similar experiences + people get very Upset™️ when they can't understand someone for 30+ sec, but as usual, meh
