This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

I love the convenience of streaming, but for any movie or show that I really love, I want to own a physical copy. The quality often better, and it is much less likely to disappear suddenly if a license expires or a company merges out of business. And disks often have cool extras.

Please, Rep Moore, and Sens Lee and Curtis, speak up against the scapegoating of immigrants from Somalia. Silence in the face of hate will be taken as agreement. Utahns have always welcomed refugees from anywhere. Please represent our views, and speak out against the president’s hateful speech

As a Utahn and a horror nerd I was actually surprised I had never heard of "Carnival of Souls". I finally picked up the the Criterion Collection edition of it and watched it and loved it.
