Sad Red Sox news to report: Mike Greenwell has died at the age of 62. He had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier. Greenwell was a lifetime .300 hitter over 12 seasons with Boston and was a 2-time All-Star.

“Weapons” feels like it kind of tries to mix high art with schlock like Troma and each aspect feels like it’s cheapening the other. It’s still a pretty solid way to kill a couple hours.

Just a FYI to my guy @raftronaut.bsky.social, Third Man has a five album set covering The Mississippi Sheiks in chronological order. Appears to be everything we know exists because I picked up Vol 2 and there are definitely second versions of songs that they had done previously.

One of the things that drove me nuts when I first moved here is how shitty all the old fisherman were to any young guy out there. This morning I spent time talking with a dude and we exchanged some tips and tricks, he learned about summer smallmouth and I learned about peacock bass in Puerto Rico.
