This is the most modern technology I've seen her use in these videos. Do they not have some goats around to eat this grass?

For many of the tasks where they're being pushed, LLMs' effect on student learning and worker productivity is roughly the same as that of alcohol
maxkennerly.bsky.social
IMHO, LLMs will be an economic negative for years.

They'll do a worse job than humans,

but will still replace humans because they're cheaper for employers,

but really they're costlier, it's just that lots of costs get externalized to society by our horrible energy/tax policies.

Lose-lose-lose.
The Real AI Risk is ‘Meh’ Technology That Takes Jobs and Annoys Us All
While AI doomsday scenarios dwell on the risks posed by superintelligent robot overlords, one Nobel-Prize winning economist fears a more mundane possibility.

This combination of words is striking me as mordantly funny this morning, @tomtomorrow.bsky.social.

So thankful that dudes without game now have the option of driving all of our energy bills up to come up with devastating lines like it was nice to meet you

You can’t hate fascists and use AI slop generators. They’re the same thing: total destruction of truth at scale.

One talky queen can handle 5 older women EASILY. They're pawns.

There is an IRL troll in the bar (30-something gay urban dude telling salacious tales to a group of 50-something suburban straight women)

They're in the palm of his hand!

"How do you choose when to use lube and when to use spit?"

When Cubs fans call Milwaukee "Wrigley North": Logical, Instinctive, Ultimately not creative

When Brewers fans call Wrigley "Cudahy South": Kooky, illogical, clearly more charming

My favourite Sopranos character is probably “Big Pussy” because his name is reminiscent of a large vagina

People love to shout "Poor ol' Johnnie Ray!" and then it all goes to hell.

It's kinda fun to be in a bar when "Come On, Eileen" comes on and a bunch of enthusiastic drunks realize they can't sing along with the verses.

College Football fans are always like "Rutgers hasn't suffered a loss like this on the same day that North Carolina kicked 5 FGs since 2019. This is so historic! What an incredible Saturday night!"

Kind of a funny soundtrack (and song title) as I drive out to celebrate a Brewers victory.

Disney is saddened at the passing of Major League and Brocktoon star Bob Uecker at the age of 90 years old. Uecker, pictured below at the age of (Jesus Christ) 49 years old, gradually melted in front of numerous generations as an athlete, sportscaster and Andre the Giant choking victim.
Bob Uecker ("George Owens") gives fatherly advice to Rob Stone (a teenage Marilyn Manson) ("Kevin Owens", no not that Kevin Owens, but that's funny) on Brocktoon (aka Mr. Belvedere) (1980 - 1985)

That's what the pocket Ts are for!

Ted Perry was clearly in that last Brewers crowd shot.
chrisna.bsky.social
Bah, I won't make it for a big celebration outburst. I'll stay home until the good thing happens.
chrisna.bsky.social
Oof. If the Brewers get another run here, I might have to hop in the car...

An all-time Milwaukee moment could happen within the hour.

Brewers taking game five as it’s broadcast on a JumboTron during the final Platinum Boys concert ever…. this has the makings of an all-time Milwaukee moment
chrisna.bsky.social
The Brewers should just introduce a musical tradition for every inning.
chrisna.bsky.social
Ok, here in the 7th the crowd was just treated to "Roll Out the Barrel"- maybe that will do the trick.
chrisna.bsky.social
The Sausage Race will animate the crowd and the Brewers will score three runs in the bottom of the 6th.
