My STUNNINGLY-talented co-author and I are presently writing ANIMA - The World is Always Ending, a PRE-apocalyptic romantic drama about mecha waging war against eldritch beasts from beyond the stars and the mentally-ill gay women who pilot them.

Long white hair cascades down her back, and blunt bangs frame her sharp features, including violet eyes (one of which has a fractured iris owing to her albinism) and glossy pink lips which have been massively over-lined. Mischa Rosenthal stands opposite her, in partial side profile, wearing a red Plug Suit—the uniform of mech pilots working for ANIMA, resembling a red-and-white boiler suit with the sleeves rolled up. Their hair is tied into a little side braid with an elastic band, and is an off-yellow colour thanks to a fading blonde dye job that’s already showing copious brown roots. They have a facial tattoo from one side of their face to another, a solid black line crossing their aquiline nose. Behind them, the mighty Port, Medusa, stands tall. It’s broad-shouldered with a very Gundam-esque face plate, narrow eyes and a W-shaped command fin which almost resembles a tiara. Its colour scheme is glossy pearlescent white and purple, much like its Plug, Kōgōmi. You could cut the sapphic tension of this held gaze with a KNIFE.$

got this stunning piece from @sephiramy.bsky.social of the two leads from my novel dressed as Utena and Anthy! Utena was one of our big inspirations, so what better way to pay homage while getting in the Halloween spirit?

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
