ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughter’s birthday in the process.

Instead we see them forced into this & more every fucking day, whether in the US or Sudan or Palestine or any number of places. Our unending hunger for wealth, power, and control prevents us from ever loving them well.
