was talking to the banker at the credit union, he said that a lot of folks have been in to move funds around for mutual aid & that our collective care runs deep in the twin cities ❤️‍🔥 he also said that his young kid learned “F ICE” then “FUCK ICE” (fine in this context, he said LOL)

I've been subjected to quite a handful of racism and antiblackness and the furry fandom has a problem with excusing and enabling this type of behavior that effects furries of color under the guise of being "apolitical"

i don't care Abt kink discourse I want less racism in "progressive" spaces

my biggest gripe with modern furry is the constant subjection to trivial subjects that most importantly involve real human consenting adults roleplaying and I am at a point where I don't give a shit for one and two I wish we could talk Abt racism or classim instead of the ethics of fucking Lucario.

Youve gotta bother the shit out if your representatives about the issue of online ID laws, its not a discord only problem nor is it limited to nsfw content

Please get involved
I’m glad to see people protesting Discord forcing IDs for age verification, but what I need everyone to understand is that there’s immense bipartisan pressure to make the entire internet like this, and they are likely going to succeed unless something drastic happens

First panel of a new comic I’m doing about my experience with sobriety! I feel that these more serious things I make are not as well received as my character designs but these comics are very cathartic for me to make.

"cooled by the vacuum of space" - huh, neat. hey does anyone know how thermoses work
This would have been a good point for someone to have asked, is that really how things work? Or is vacuum in fact an excellent insulator? www.ft.com/content/a5cf...

I mean, if Musk announced his plan to begin ranching frogs since the average frog weighs 50% more than a cow, you'd think that someone at the FT might pause before putting "frogs, which on average weigh 50% more than cows" in a news story.

Again, the talking point that "there's no water issue" is dangerously wrong and if you repeat it, you're helping tech CEOs
Texas is rushing to build massive artificial intelligence infrastructure without a planning system capable of assessing industrial water needs, experts warn. There are currently over 400 data centers operating or under construction in the Lone Star State.

It really sucks that the "merchants of doubt" around "AI" water usage are so good at spreading doubt. Because the water usage *is* bad, and even if data centers somehow magically created additional water, they'd still be bad for all the other reasons that data centers are bad

"itsemimi" on Instagram draws Furbies and Furby-derivative creatures in a faux-VHS-on-cathode-ray-TV style, saying 90s-anime-esque lines, and it's.

Weirdly fascinating.

the ABC also went out of their way to present the murder of Renee Good by ICE thugs as a vague and unknowable debate, even as the new york freaking times couldn't deny what happened.

The institution is fundamentally pro-fascist now - how else can you describe going out of one's way to do this?
At this point any media outlet both-sidesing what even the New York Times admits was a murder is actively assisting a racist, fascist regime. This @abcnewsbot.bsky.social article is absolute garbage - centralising the gov't accounts and failing to point out the direct contradictions. ABC is cooked

I very genuinely do not think that Australia's media industry can be classified as any other than fully supportive of police violence, because you have to actively, consciously and knowingly work to frame what happened as general "violence mars protests" rather than "police violently attack protest"

A content warning for very, very significant police violence on this video: Israeli President Herzog is visiting Australia, and police in New South Wales are violently bashing prone protesters.

The media is framing it in completely neutral terms.

Watch the video, then look at the headlines.

correct, this is also high on the list of problems with capitalism in general

crypto is just the purest expression of it
I agree with this but also this is also the way you get incredibly rich in our current capitalist system
high on the list of problems with crypto is that it is the best way to get incredibly rich by being staggeringly, cartoonishly unethical
