TechCrunch is lang niet de enige. Het bericht waar TC naar verwijst, van Reuters, is óók gebaseerd op anonieme bronnen. De meeste van dit soort projecties die ik kan vinden.

Handig, want dan kan iedereen er wat makkelijker onderuit.

Het zou mooi zijn als techmedia stopte met het schrijven over omzetprojecties op basis van één of twee anonieme bronnen. (Of erger: een citaat van de CEO, al dan niet uit een persbericht)

Bedrijven hebben hier belang bij, inclusief de boodschap over 'rapid adoption'. Het is reclame.

Heb me altijd afgevraagd of Strava rond 2015 ooit eigen wearables heeft overwogen. Op dat moment - zeker bij de introductie van routeplanning - lagen ze qua software in veel opzichten mijlenver voor op Garmin.
