Today! I forgot the word for “deposited” (in the context of deposited papers provided to the UK Parliament) and came out with “caition”; paused and said “no, not paper security? Bail for papers?” and confused my students

When most online content comes from AI, human writing might become more valuable, not less. A researcher who studies #AI explores what gets lost when writers rely too heavily on language models to do their thinking. buff.ly/dACqbK3
More than half of new articles on the internet are being written by AI – is human writing headed for extinction?

Further evidence of the lack of seriousness and rigor with which the state has treated archives and non-recent records. We have access to all of the large tech companies on this island, the lack of support, political will and budget for modern solutions is absurd. www.irishtimes.com/politics/202...

The delays are caused by decades of underfunding of the criminal justice system. Blaming it on defendants is obscene.

Telling the quotes here referring to 'criminals' etc. presuppose the accused are guilty & the trial process an inconvenience standing in the way of locking them up.
“No one is being served in the case that we saw.. More victims and witnesses are pulling out of the process because they cannot wait that long. That is compelling illustration of justice delayed being justice denied.”

How did this discourse, and this policy, ever come to pass in the UK in the year of our Lord 2025. Unjustified, and unjustifiable.
