I watch all the goals to put together @thetransferflow.bsky.social Monday columns, and Emi Martinez has been out of his mind.

Had a down year last season, but back to his shot-stopping best.

Arsenal are fine. United under 1 xG, just conceded two catastrophic whoopsies and a banger. It sucks to watch if you're an Arsenal fan but I wouldn't draw any big conclusions from it. They're still the best team in the league.
Just wondering now if City wins it yet again or if somehow Villa does. We just don't have the right mentality to do it.

Man United = Bangers FC?

Can we have two of those in the league at the same time?!?
January 25, 2026 at 6:15 PM
What a goal from Dorgu.

United players amazed by it as well.

I increasingly think the largest source of HSR's in the Premier League are corner transitions.

I genuinely thought Arsenal would be able to make this match boring after they scored.

They definitely have not.

A brilliant match for anyone who was not a Liverpool fan. Box office 5:30pm on a Saturday night stuff.

PSG has ruled over Ligue 1 under QSI ownership, although a surprising title winner has emerged every few yrs (2012 Montpellier, 2017 Monaco, 2021 Lille).

This week's post for @thetransferflow.bsky.social examines whether 2026 Lens can shock French football

With 9 wins in a row, Les Sang et Or are looking capable of toppling the giants.

PSG going to end up with like 30 shots on 1 goal. Le mew, le football.

TTF Feedback Today:

"Very harsh on Palace ownership there, Ted.

Glasner has been backed with several signings and the club loses tens of millions each Season. He knew what he was signing up for!"

Did Steve Parrish write this?

Lewis is really bright and a great follow, but I want to nuance something we'll discuss in the pod tomorrow:

The PL top talent is largely BETTER than historic teams right now. It's just the fact that EVERYONE has talent and like a World Top 30 budget that lowers points for good teams.
Yep, every single Premier League game is difficult. It's being dismissed as a weak league when it's the opposite - yeah the top 2-3 might not be quite as good as in the past, but teams 10-20 are arguably better than teams in those positions have basically ever been.

A Tale of Two Wagers:

As Kim noted in the Friday newsletter, I was betting against both City and Arsenal this weekend.

Got dead lucky to win the Forest one outright.

But the Man United bet was never in doubt. (I was also on Leeds, who mostly deserved their win too.)

Malmo on a rainy winter evening.

Ya'll followed me for football, but this has been a bougie food account since it started.

Football and data vis are just lucky dip extras.
I think I just had a life-changing Korean fried chicken (rooster) dish at Namu in Malmo.

Spicy, umami, perfect crunch, hint of herbs. And paired with a slightly sweet sake. So, so good.
