The stock market's gains are being overwhelmingly driven by seven Big Tech companies who have invested heavily in AI, which has made tech oligarchs even wealthier.

But when that AI bubble bursts, the rest of us will be stuck holding the bag.

Be warned.

Ranked-choice voting didn't *mathematically* change much in Portland, mostly the same people won who would have with FTTP. But it sure did lower the level of rancor a bunch, letting voters have more "expressive power" without worrying about spoilers
i am...skeptical about implementation here state-by-state but it could absolutely strengthen coalition unity and decrease alienation of the primary electorate.

Yes please! I’m all for it!!
Democratic politicians and activists are quietly lobbying to upend the way the party picks its presidential nominee by urging the use of ranked-choice voting.
Scoop: Democrats eye ranked-choice voting for 2028 primaries
It's a tool that drew national attention when it propelled New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to a decisive primary win.

Moments ago: tenants of the South Shore apartment building that federal immigration agents raided at the end of September held a presser to announce they're forming a tenants union.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.

More updates TK.

Hillary was going to give us taco trucks on every corner.

Now, the taco trucks have become one focus of renewed civil society to save neighbors.
“A tamale vendor was detained outside a Home Depot.

“Soon after, federal agents arrested a flower seller in Archer Heights.

“Then they came for a cotton candy vendor in Little Village.”

Please understand that "reward people for being healthy", in health insurance, also translates to "punish people for being disabled."

The people who are most vulnerable, most in need, will be asked to bear higher costs, in many cases, pricing them out of accessing health care, into early graves.
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

Congress and the Senate have voted to release the Epstein files.

Please remember there's between 200,000 and 400,000 untested rape kits sitting in police stations across America.

Hundreds of thousands of people denied justice.

This is misogyny. This is rape culture.
