Trans Europe Express I reckon then Radioactivity or Man Machine. Autobahn suffers from side one being much better than side two (though side two is still good). All the “proper” albums after Autobahn are good including EC (Techno Pop was a better title though IMO as a statement of intent).

So yeah the “more to come”. We are super happy with this review from Oxfordshire Music Scene it’s all there. Dystopian disco, eroded acid lines, club ready body blows, “a minimal, industrial slab of post-capitalist catharsis”. It’s like they get us #oxfordmusic #oxfordmusicscene

"The erotic, S&M infused ‘Harder, Faster’ gets the blood pumping, and the nether regions tingling.... dragging us deep into Clive Barker territory." apparently, if you were wondering what our remix sounds like. Launch at the Bully this Thursday! louderthanwar.com/octavia-freu...

In other news I have been messing around with my new #ericasynths #Perkons and a TD-3 resulting in the video of a track which will in no sense be ready for this gig.

Next up we are supporting the mighty The Utopia Strong and Andrew Liles for @divine schism at the Little Bully. We are on first so get there early.

OK I will rephrase. I am having trouble gauging the level of hostility or otherwise. Is this haha you are a wrong idiot and your band is shit or haha you are correct and I agree with you or somewhere in between? Sorry social media is famously lacking nuance and I've had a long day.

I don’t even know what this meme means

So today’s boomer/spotify rant (sorry to the good boomers. #notallboomers ) has got me 10x more engagement and follows than anything posting about our music. And this is on bluesky which doesn’t even *have* an algorithm. Pretty sure this is symptomatic of something. Anyway, as you were.

Tbf it’s more a mindset than an age. I’m 59 btw
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
Look I’m not going on about whether *my* band is successful. The problem is that I can name 7 or 8 genuinely great bands in my city and *none* of them will be more than locally successful because the middle rungs of the ladder have been broken.
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
That’s a whole different argument but not one I disagree with.

Yeah I saw Fontaines DC with 30 people in a sweaty basement. But that kind of breakthrough is now rare and there are structural reasons why
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
That is kind of the point I wanted to make! There is good music but the current system- very much including Spotify- pretty much ensures those bands will remain obscure.
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
Edit to clarify: #notallboomers. I am 59 and spend a *lot* of time finding new music. It’s not about that. But if you look at the charts in the 80s and 90s it was full of experimental weird stuff that doesn’t get discovered by a mass audience today.
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
I mean I’m 59. Boomer is a state of mind not an age
mnsfprdctn.bsky.social
tbf though 1) evidently you aren’t the people complaining about no good music in the charts and 2) I’ve checked my Spotify plays and pretty sure people aren’t discovering us through streaming. We can fill a room locally so it’s not entirely because we’re rubbish.

In conclusion: Metallica were right about Napster. Sorry Lars.

Even if we were to get a decent tour support offer we probably can’t afford to take time out of work to take it up. Though we’d try.
