in a sense what I loved the most about this grim world was the art and what's the most regretful thing about it after it'll all be said and done is how many artists had to lend their talents to some dumbass capital holder to sustain themselves instead of making what was in their heart 24/7

my controversial opinion is that while tagging for nsfw is a courtesy, and should be practiced for explicit sexual material, I think that holding "there could be minors around" over the heads of writers, artists, and creators in attempt to make sure they meticulously censor themselves is propaganda.

"nsfw" means not safe for work; it's a tagging system primarily meant to privilege adults who wish to use social media while at work without incurring an hr violation. it's not meant to be used as a bludgeoning tool or an attempt to implicate someone in deliberating "violating" another person.

boundaries are good, tagging is good. but I think we play a dangerous game when we use the logical fallacy of somehow corrupting or hurting children that aren't there by our behaviors as queer adults. the mere suggestion of sex or a naked body is not harmful. why are we backsliding so badly.
