The Leaves of a Palm is an illustration created by Japanese artist Yumeji Takehisa in 1921. A leading figure of the Taisho Romanticism movement, Takehisa was known for his depictions of women with large eyes and melancholic expressions, referred to as Yumeji Bijin-ga.

#Chukar (pronounced like trucker) were introduced to Hawaiʻi in the 1920s. Their native habitat extends across Asia & parts of Eastern Europe, where they prefer rocky open hillsides.

Chukar are partial to the higher elevation dry ranges of Maui & Hawaiʻi Island. Found across all of Hawaiʻi. #birds

Analemma is a particular eight-shaped geometric curve describing the position of the Sun on the different days of a year, at the same time and in the same place.
