Wow! Hi new followers! I’m Kenz, I’m a professional haunt performer & I’m currently making a horror-comedy comic series called Fossilized. My story deals with themes of existentialism, escapism, & humanity. If you like paleontology, monsters, gore, & nuanced morally-crooked characters, welcome!
Nergal, an anthropomorphic adalatherium with a raptor skull hat on, sits on a dilapidated throne made of black stone on top of an ancient temple. He has a malicious grin and white eyes. He is twirling a cup filled with a strange brownish liquid. Icky, a misanthropic large grey anthropomorphic squirrel, holds a shotgun as he’s backed against the wall. Fire light glows against him as wears an expression of intense paranoia on his face. There is text that reads “there’s a caveman in the walls” around him. Mushhush, a large, toothy, multi-armed mammalian worm-like monster that Nergal stretches into, roars angrily into the sky as he is skewered with many crude spears and arrows. A fiery meteor swirls above him. Geshtu, a blue anthropomorphic Cronopio Dentiacutis, who has red markings smeared around his eyes, hands, and tail, holds a tektite dagger in one hand and a blood stained bowl in the other. It is almost as if he is offering it to the audience. His white eyes leak upwards and into the moon above as its light shines on him.

Easing back into drawing slowly. Gonna be a bit before I get back to full strength. But I had a slight wake-up call about what I want out of my art and I’m going to pursue that.

I really cannot keep up with internet cultures and trends. It moves too fast for me. When I get back I wanna work on spending more time actually creating than wasting all my time on the futile effort of being noticed.
Feeling a sense of crushing melancholy whenever I try to find “success” online.

Nergal, Dumuzi, and Geshtu under a full moon and hidden under the brush of a prehistoric forest. Nergal looks nervous while clutching a spear, Dumuzi looks frightened, and Geshtu is hissing angrily with his teeth bared.

Due to working two jobs & planning a wedding atm, I haven’t been able to work much on Fossilized despite wanting to so so very badly. But at least I can make quick scribbles in the rare windows of time I get. The trio all have their own feelings about this lack of activity #doodle #fossilizedtales
Ball point pen doodles on lined mini notebook paper. It looks really bad and sloppy. First one is Geshtu calmly saying “Patience. You will be back to it all soon. For now, be kind to yourself.” Nergal is sobbing and fighting against chains while screaming “DRAW ME DRAW ME DRAW ME! LET ME OUUUUT!” And Dumuzi is under him hanging by her roots as she does, looking exhausted and murmuring “Take your time. I literally do not care.”

Perhaps someone out there can relate?

I've been working hard for the last couple of years on growing at least some sort of an internal sense of self-worth, but this fear is haaaaaard to drop.
