yesterday, exactly two months after i got @stellartim.bsky.social and @benrlmeredith.bsky.social to draw some spirals for me, i got them tatted!!!! joined with a gorgeous pictish crescent/semi intentional symbol of artemis. thank you both for drawing such lovely spirals - they look fucking awesome
a picture showing a tattoo across my shoulders and upper back, there is a downward facing crescent shape at the top of my back that is intersected by one vertical and two diagonal lines. the vertical one ends in a star with a small arc and the diagonal ones travel across my traps to form spirals on my shoulders. another picture of the tattoo taken at an angle to show how the vertical line sits on the spine. a close up of the spiral on my left shoulder, there is a break in the line to show where the spiral ben drew ends and the one my tattoo artist drew begins. a close up of the spiral on my right shoulder, again there is a break in the line to show where the spiral tim drew ends and the one my tattoo artist drew begins.

recent adventures in knitting gloves. one very tasteful pair for a friend and a pair that transform me into some sort of muppet for me >:)
a photo showing off a pair of fingerless cable knit gloves. they are made from a gradient yarn that is shades of green, brown, orange and yellow. they are quite long and have a four strand celtic knot design along the top of the hand. a pair of blue and green tabi mittens, the fingers are split into two groups of two, giving the appearance of three puppet-ish fingers, or maybe a chameleon hand!

jaysus i haven’t been able to stop playing this on repeat. the whole session is great if ye’ve the time but if not i’ve made this start at my favourite song. i think i’ve listened to it about 20 times in the last 24 hours and my god i’m proud of the irish music scene !!!!

a large stone friend watching the badgers play

an ink ans watercolour illustration of a huge stone humanoid lying on their from and looking blankly in the direction of teo badgers rolling and playing in the snow. only their head and shoulders are in frame, their arms folded under their chin comfortably. behind them is a forest, trees bare in the winter cold. in the centre is a huge tree with a hole under the roots from which the badgers have come. there are some birds in the trees, and some snow has settled on the branches and on the shoulder and back of the large humanoid. their head is roughly shaped, inspired by celtic stone carvings, and they have spiral ‘tattoos’ carved into their arms. moss is growing in patches across them.

successfully followed my first proper knitting pattern and my lovely slippers survived the wash!!! trying to get a cute picture of slippers is surprisingly hard ! a before felting picture included because i did greatly enjoy these huge fuckin things

an a4 illustration of a scene from goblins podcast where Elizabeth comes across a large standing stone that should not be there. she is a stocky white woman with red hair holding a torch up to the stone as behind her Nix, a poltergeist whose form is mainly wafting strands of black hair, angrily shouts at her. the stone stands in front of a woodland that sits at the bottom of Cissbury Ring, and emerging from some trees are Tripe and Hooper, two goblins. Tripe has a sack over one shoulder and Hooper is gesturing frustratedly as they walk together. Tripe has sticky up pointy ears and is a lighter green, and Hooper has long floppy ears and is a darker forest green. a close up of the illustration, showcasing the weird opalescent colours of the standing stone.

got a bit stressed today so i did some ink washes and then got funky with it
three drawings on different pieces of paper. the first is a small rectangle with a green background onto which celtic spiral motifs have been drawn in a blue ink. the second is a page with a green wash on which darker ink has been drawn in a rectangle, but leaving a celtic labyrinth in the middle. the last is a page washed in greens and purples on which a flower, some leaves and a shooting bud are drawn, all with their roots showing two thin rectangular drawings. the first is on a sheet with a light green wash, it has a stylised swan drawn on it, boxed in awkwardly by the confines of the page. the second is is a page washed in blue that has a negative space bird flying upward towards two stars.

got my first large gauge piercing a week ago. have been feeling like i will receive extraterrestrial communication since.
a small drawing of me hunched over, lifting up my jumper slightly and looking at my belly button, then a close up drawing of said belly button which is pierced with a curve of metal. the metal is extending out of the top of my navel and the jewel on the top of the bar is pointed outward. next to the close up drawing is the text ‘antenna…’ and some little wiggly lines like a signal is being broadcast.

been cracking on w these two for the last couple of days !! nearly time for pencils >:)

on a white shelf sit these little trinkets: a pebble, a slipper limpet shell, a small plastic replica of the cat bus from my neighbour totoro, a tiny red cardinal, a tiny clear octopus, a wax seal of a broken sword, two tiny stones and a flattened coin with a 1905 rolls royce on it

went to the beach and did some drawing yesterday after the pure overstimulation of a busy town centre on a saturday

going to england on tuesday - will i get my second pair of trousers i’m taking finished in time?! who’s to say
a pair of very wide trousers lies on the floor. one leg is multicoloured diamonds and the other is black and red. on top of the trousers lie an unattached leopard print waistband and mismatched pockets
