This is Sektori! A twin-stick shooter I've been making (and documenting the journey) since April 2021. And it finally launched TODAY on Steam, PS5 and Xbox! Here's a fresh launch trailer, all shares highly appreciated. More game info in replies.

Well worth reading re: Arc Raiders, AI voices and the notion of "ethical" use of generative AI.
I saw some chat about Arc Raiders' use of AI voice actors recently - I'm probably not going to rerecord the talk I gave at EXAG but I thought I'd drop in a few slides about the idea that you can make generative AI ethical by getting people to sign a piece of paper to say you can use their data.

If you would like to play a normal mode in Battlefield 6, the order of operations is:

1) Scroll past ads for skins you don't want
2) Scroll past an event that includes 1 map
3) Scroll past a free trial that means nothing if you already own Battlefield 6
4) Congrats, you've reached "Multiplayer"

I was on the latest episode of Button Mash to talk about all the surprise Steam hits of 2025, and how you just can't predict the year in gaming without leaving a few blank spots for the surprise REPOs and Schedule 1s of the world.
I also highly recommend this, though I'm a bit biased: open.spotify.com/episode/4mVS...

Highly recommend the latest Button Mash podcast on Steam's viral hits of 2025 with Ben Lindbergh, Simon Carless and Morgan Park digging into the whats and hows and whys of some of the year's biggest hits, if you're into that kind of thing.

If I have ever written anything good, it's because @tjcwilde.bsky.social, @elahti.bsky.social, and @wes.readonlymemo.com hammered it into me with years of excellent edits.
By the way, it's National Editor Appreciation Day.

Nobody ever reads a great article and thinks, "Dang, that was some tight editing." But editing is a big part of how it got to be great.

So writers, if you've ever worked with a good editor, shout 'em out.

The tech industry's smol bean act is so maddening. Gee, all we did is put out products that make frequent errors while telling everyone they're going to lose their jobs to them. How come they don't like that?
Microsoft's head of AI doesn't understand why people don't like AI, and I don't understand why he doesn't understand because it's pretty obvious
Is it really "mindblowing" that people are skeptical of software that consistently doesn't do the things we're told it can do?

Deciding to get healthier in 2025 came with no shortage of sacrifices I was prepared to make, but I did not anticipate one of them would be Call of Duty double XP. www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/i-...
I switched to zero sugar energy drinks in 2025 and now tracking down Call of Duty double XP is more annoying and less tasty
Double XP ain't so easy to find when you're making healthier life choices.

INSPIRING: Someone bought Spore
In October 2025, a full 205 months after the ill-fated life sim Spore first launched, someone walked into a store, found an old DVD copy on a shelf, and bought it

I became a full-time paramedic in Arc Raiders, which is sorta like living out an Undertale pacifist run. Can recommend. www.pcgamer.com/games/third-...
I became a full-time paramedic for strangers in Arc Raiders, and ended up showered with more rare loot than I could carry
Dodging, talking, and healing my way through the apocalypse.

Counter-Strike 2 modders surprise drop an excellent Halo 3 multiplayer pack, accidentally proving how badly Valve has squandered Source 2
FOV 90: Project Misriah is a glimpse at the offbeat Source 2 shooters we should have by now, if not for Valve.

The strangest creation of algorithmic social media is the guy who lives off X residuals by tweeting about every videogame, but is not news, so they have to pretend to just be really interested in everything.
