Sonic CD has a platform that appears once in 1 hidden path in 1 time zone of 1 level
it drops from the top, respawns infinitely, & goes up when you stand on it. I only came across it on my 30th playthru, because you'll never see it normally. It even has a slightly different look in the Good Future

in harvest moon ds/ds cute, there is a potluck event where you can throw something into the pot. it was widely believed that poisoning the entire town by throwing a poison mushroom or similar in there was detrimental to your affection with them, but i did some testing and it doesn't affect it at all

everyone hates you about it and complains but it doesn't dock any affection or anything. you can literally poison the entire town with impunity. that said there's an easter egg where if you take the time to level the poison mushroom to 100 and throw it in the pot, the credits will roll

i feel that whole thing with fangames and mods having the expectation of having to feel "official" probably ruined a lot of the fun of making those things in the first place
