The former British prime minister’s pair of new jobs emerged on Thursday in letters published by Westminster’s office of the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments (Acoba). The biggest feature missing from the bsky platform for me is the ability to see who's on a damn thread, how to select who you keep who's on a dam thread, and the option to remove yourself from a damn thread. Begging the powers that be!

I wish he had but unfortunately IMO it made clear what many progressives felt (although we strongly align with many of his values), that it's an ego project & the Corbyn show. This is why I think he'd be a potentially counterproductive figure in the Greens. Again, even with broadly aligned values.

Polanski only won the leadership in Q3 2025. He was unknown to wider society at that point. Why on earth would he come out of nowhere and rank highly at that moment in polling for 'most' (MOST!) popular politician in the UK? What a totally bizarre thing to say.

My personal hot take is that I despise the concept of 'STEM'. It has one purpose and one purpose only: to launder corporate tech by tying it to actual research science. Fight me! I don't care. People in science don't generally talk about STEM, they just say science.
