I wanna use Bluesky to get me to draw more, so to start me off here’s one from back in 2017 of my gemsona Angel Aura Quartz (before I found out there’s already one in SU). Idk what got into me but I did this pose with NO references and I would love if that high would come back 😭 #stevenuniverse

Four wolves from California’s Beyem Seyo pack, including the breeding pair, were recently killed by state and federal agencies.

Their deaths mark a heartbreaking step backward for wolf recovery in CA, where wolves only returned a little over a decade ago after a century of absence.

Book 20: Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Melinda Lo

Idk how this author does it but every single time she described the complex feelings of discovering your sexuality, I went BONKERS with how relatable it was. Really insightful read!

Kaitlin's review of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil
4/5: When the girlies were saying this book was gonna be about toxic vampire lesbians…. They weren’t kidding. So much symbolism of the cycle of abuse and how dangerous it can be for a “want” to turn ...

July was really hectic with me starting a new job, so unfortunately not much reading was done :p I also realized I had forgotten to post my review of Seafire but it was a re-read anyways lmao (TLDR: the Seafire trilogy is SO GOOD)

Book 17: First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison

A very charming romance! Very loveable characters throughout. I’m super curious about the next installment in the series coming out next year!

Book #16: Night of the Dragon (Shadow of the Fox #3) by Julie Kagawa

Ugh this series was SO good. Maybe on the childish side of YA but it’s just refreshing to get a fantasy adventure without all of the goopy romance. Amazing if you also like Japanese mythology!!

Reposting this because it seems relevant today for some reason.
I've spoken with executives in the loc industry who have admitted straight to me that they're intentionally publishing sub-par translations because audiences "are okay with them". Read: will still pay for a service even if the translation is bad.

We need to prove to them that we won't.

Seriously. What are you guys doing.
Beyond disappointed to find Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show's subs on @crunchyroll.com are blatantly and openly ChatGPT.

This is not acceptable. How can we be expected to pay for a service that clearly doesn't care about the quality of its products?

Haven’t taken a crack at literary fiction in a good while but I’m glad I did!! I was hooked, and it definitely made me want to pack up and go live off grid. I just wish the conclusion was different.
