In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.
Woman Hailed as Hero for Smashing Man's Meta Smart Glasses on Subway
A New York subway rider has accused a woman of breaking his Meta smart glasses. She was later hailed as a hero.

Israel’s INGO rules are barring organisations like Save the Children and the Quakers from Gaza and the West Bank. Helen McCue asks why humanitarian aid and reporting are being treated as “delegitimisation”. #Auspol #Gaza
Israel’s NGO rules are shutting out humanitarian aid from Gaza
Rules introduced by Israel in 2025 are being used to block humanitarian organisations from operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, limiting aid delivery and silencing advocacy.

So sorry, but this is my fixation this evening. Earlier news reports suggest the rapist's barrister successfully argued for his identity to be suppressed. Today, after he was convicted, the judge gave him and his family time to say goodbye in a private courtroom. Two counts of patriarchal bullshit.
I get that the accuser's identity is protected unless they consent to being identified. But on what grounds is the convicted rapist's identity still suppressed? If you have the legal knowledge I would love to know!
Why is it that some people can have their names suppressed when they have been found guilty of a crime? Would the 'legal reason' be in support of the victim or the perpetrator?

McDonald’s recently purchased back all 225 franchised stores in Israel and provides free Happy Meals to anyone serving in the IDF.

Genocidal supremacists expanding Greater Israel’s borders by murdering Palestinian kids are chowing on free cheeseburgers.

This is not Gaza.

This is South Lebanon.

Entire towns flattened. Civilians displaced. Homes erased.

But the world only looks when the destruction fits the headlines.

Lebanon is burning — in silence.

People need to boycott this show and not just half ass. Shame everyone who plans on watching it. This isn't about Eurovision, it's about Israel getting away with committing genocide because THERE ARE NEVER ANY CONSEQUENCES. They should be untouchable by now. Everybody needs to walk the fucking walk.
Eurovision has allowed Israel to compete in 2026.

Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, and the Netherlands have pulled out of the competition following the decision.

Israeli settlers uprooted about 850 olive and grape trees owned by Palestinians on Monday. These trees are Palestinian families’ livelihoods.

Israeli settlers are making the West Bank unlivable for Palestinians by depriving them of their income.

It’s all transparently bullshit and immune to rationality, but if struggling to stabilize half a burning boat to avoid drowning is “getting back in the fight,” what they’re really saying is there’s nothing the survivors could have done to avoid being killed. And that definitely isn’t the law.

Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:
Four unidentified military-style drones breached no-fly zone to target Zelenskyy's arrival in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating whether the drones took off from land in Dublin or from an undetected ship.

It’s called corruption, and someone in authority should look into it.

Yet what worries me the most is that NVIDIA claimed to have "shipped 6 million Blackwell GPUs" in the last year. That's 6GW to 12GW of IT load capacity - the data centers do not exist, there is not enough space, there is not enough power. Where are the GPUs?

Again, I cannot overstate how bizarre it is for a CEO (and the richest man in the world) to be posting literal nazi blood and soil talking points and none of the legacy media even bats an eye.

This is extremely dangerous stuff and not enough alarms are ringing.
