I made a lovely beef stew last night. I asked hubbs if it needed seasoning and he said “the beef is tough”. 2 of our kids (14, 10) loudly complained and didn’t even try it; he let them. My picky kid (17) tried it and said thank you for making dinner.

When Trump got elected several friends reminded me *my* family would be fine. As if I should only care about people who look like me? I don’t understand that type of thinking. All over the world, the most human thing about us is our capacity for deep compassion. If you care, you’re probably furious.
I do not think that anger is a helpful emotion. It does not really do anything that is positive.
