My cousin died of an asthma attack on Thanksgiving a few years ago. Asthma is still deadly but people don’t remember how it used to send kids to the ER on a regular basis bc now we have such good meds to treat it - like this type of inhaler.

I’m old enough to remember when they refused to care for people who couldn’t pay. That’s why we needed the EMTLA act in the first place. When they refuse to treat pregnant women it’s bc of the hospital lawyers. Sometimes women aren’t even making it in the door. Who knows. We’re not in a great spot.

I had a 7 hour play date for my 10yo with 3 other neighborhood boys today. I also got my daughter sorted with her tutor, went grocery shopping, made dinner with 3 sides, etc. etc. etc.
