My takeaway from first semester…it has taken less than 5 years for people to forget what we learned the purpose of in-person school was during the pandemic. Keep pushing your transactional, job-preparation, GPA, test score narratives and we’ll just keep watching people forget how to be people.

#ITeachPhysics Is the practice of mental imagery helpful to learning physics? I have renamed my Physics 1 lectures, “How to draw good” bc I hypothesize that reading word problems often doesn’t form a helpful mental image. Am I right? who knows? But the students laugh at my stick figure masterpieces.

I love Chicago. I went to uni and student taught in Chicago Public Schools. The way rural America views Chicago is absolutely insane. Fear of the unknown I guess. Divide and conquer playbook continues... #FDT
