Ridiculous. My water bill has already gone up £17 a month this year even though I am using significantly less water than the year before.

This shouldn’t be allowed. It’s time the government renationalised it. We are repeatedly being ripped off by the greed of the rich.

I love this. Thanks for sharing. Some of what you have written is similar for me. Started as a child, relished the hobby up at various stages of my life. And I too have found as I have become older that it helps me relax and unwind and put the day to day out of mind.

One of my favourite German words to say aloud is Flurfunk. It describes gossip or rumours that spread through the workplace and means, literally, "hallway radio."

On a related note, a Finnish word for gossipers is kahvipöytäparlamentti. It means "coffee break parliament."
