So, Trump sent the guardsmen unnecessarily to D.C. And Trump granted the shooter's asylum. Talk about the one contributing factor to this crime ... Trump!

Thousands of FBI agents usually tasked with combating domestic terrorism and other national security threats have been reassigned to immigration enforcement.

The Trump administration illegally deployed the National Guard to D.C.
Then appealed the ruling just to keep them there.

In Chicago, Gregory Bovino, who will lead "Swamp Sweep," drew a rare public rebuke from a federal judge who said he misled the court about the threats posed by protesters and deployed tear gas and pepper balls without justification during a chaotic confrontation downtown.

Trump tweeted a pic of a West Point plaque, but it notes that the US military places loyalty to the Constitution and the law over one man. Is anything more central to Trump’s presidency than his demand for fealty to him over the Constitution and the law?

Trump is the most corrupt president in US history, and the openness of his corruption is an essential feature of it. It's particularly bad that this comes as Trump is using state power to punish Sen Mark Kelly for correctly warning against breaking illegal orders.

The latest: The SoS drafted an extremely slanted summary to describe the referendum to voters. Organizers are now suing. www.the-downballot.com/p/morning-di...

After Biden commuted the sentences of 37 men on federal death row last year, the Trump administration is retaliating by sending them to the supermax. Prisoners are locked in cells smaller than a parking space 22-24 hours a day.

One prisoner told me he fears he won't make it out alive.

My latest:
Death Row Prisoners Granted Clemency by Biden Brace for "Living Hell" Under Trump - Bolts
Trump officials are retaliating by imposing the harshest conditions in the entire federal prison system, including near total isolation.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
