My grandfather who I idolized was an ironworker who poured his coffee into the saucer & drank it. I started drinking coffee when I was a kid so I could do the same. I no longer drink from the saucer but I have to have 2 cups 1st thing in the a.m. to start my day.

I just got an email from @rainforestalliance.bsky.social about 5 foods we could lose to climate change: chocolate, coffee, tea, bananas & avocados. This is alarming to me as none of these upset my stomach & #chocolate & #coffee are my mainstays.

The one thing to know about alcoholics is that nobody can help them but themself. Do not think you can change another person, you can only change yourself. Some alcoholics need to lose everything & others don't. Every case is different, it's a disease that can be cured.

the most explanatory argument ive heard for why the shutdown ended with no concessions is because most major corporations' employees rely on SNAP beneficiaries, so the shutdown directly affects their bottom line
