Two splendid historical moments to celebrate today: the 25th anniversary of the news of Sooty the guinea pig’s sexual excesses, and the 1,009th of Edmund ‘Ironside’ II getting done in by being stabbed up the bum while on the privy. Possibly. As you can see, we’re starting with the ‘Romeo’ rodent...

Against my strongest wishes, the wife did a 1 item curbside at Target last night. We watched as three girls walked out and gave a homeless man some money, food and a little time. An act of kindness that tempers my Target shopper attitude. Then I see this fucking tool...
If you guys are not watching Target swag bag haul videos…

4 months ago I lost one of my Venezuelan workers to TPS revocation. A return to Venezuela would have been a death sentence. Yesterday he was granted 5 years asylum and wants to come back to work.

Happy Thanksgiving!

RIP Todd Snider. Sad for selfish reasons (hoped for decades more great music, shaken when anyone around my age dies) but also because his last days were so troubled.

There's a war goin' on that the poor can't win.

Deportations actually _increase_ housing prices because they shrink the construction industry.

The reduction in new houses being built swamps effects from lower demand

Shooting for that South Minneapolis aesthetic in Plymouth.
People have driven over Bonnie Scott's yard and mowed it without her permission. Scott enlisted the police and a private detective to find the offenders — and now, some neighbors stay away from her property.
A lawsuit blooms in Plymouth as homeowner battles HOA over her naturally planted yard
Bonnie Scott’s fight with the Churchill Farms Homeowners Association could test the limit of Minnesota’s law protecting natural landscapes.

A student activist who gave his April paycheck to rebuild a church nursery when he hit poorly for the month because the Angels wouldn't take it back. Originator of the saying “If it wasn’t for the owner, Minnesota would be a great place to play.”
