Please repost if you agree that British TV News is betraying our democracy by giving Farage what looks like more coverage than all the other opposition parties combined.

Really pleased to be at Clan Cameron Museum, Achnacarry (that's near Ft William)next Wednesday (27th Aug) to talk about this gem. Captured at Loos by 5th Bn Cameron Highlanders. If you're around do come along (11.00-15.00) - I'll be the lonely nerd standing by the gun. #FWW #WW1 #Greatwargroup #WFA

Really glad that Sharpe and his men didn't have to come up against this gun at Barossa! It's an 1880s German 15cm breechloader. Still in use during the Great War.

Book cover with author's name 'Bernard Cornwell' and title 'Sharpes Fury' against an archway into a fortification. Large cannon (actually a First World War type) in front of the archway.

Great to see my 2012 book reissued in paperback - as with all the books in this series, it’s an introductory guide. Pleased that readers found it of value

Writer and historian Eric Linklater's steel helmet after he was wounded in the head in 1918. The entry and exit holes are visible, but he survived with a permanent indentation in his scalp. It's in the Orkney Museum with his Black Watch kilt.
