If you start by sanctioning lawyers simply because they represent clients with whom you disagree

Then progress to defying Supreme Court orders-while absurdly claiming those decisions SUPPORT your position

It's only a matter of time before you begin arresting judges

This is fascism-pure and simple
New in PN: Arresting judges is a 5-alarm escalation

"It’s not just that Dugan was arrested, but how she was arrested. The whole point was to cause a scene. There’s no allegation she was attempting to evade arrest, but the FBI still forced a sitting judge to do a perp walk at her place of work."

What would you say if you saw it in another country?

With so many folks excited for Andor Season 2 kicking off in just a couple of days, this is your periodic reminder that writer-director Tony Gilroy's underrated Michael Clayton (2007; George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Tilda Swinton) is a fucking masterpiece, and you should all watch it.

State tells employees to report on one another for ‘anti-Christian bias’
“It’s very ‘Handmaid’s Tale’-esque,” one official said.

This is so fucked up.
Trump requiring Americans present a $165 passport to vote isn't a poll tax.

It's a Democracy Tariff.

A big (and possibly unsolvable) problem in for audio dramas getting more popular is that the better your show is - the more carefully-honed the script, the more intricate the design - the harder it is for listeners to sporadically zone out, which I suspect is one of the attractions of chat podcasts.

Why do you think he removes their skins, Agent Starling? Enthrall me with your acumen.
"The tariffs, and the quick slide into economic calamity, have sparked real resistance. They’ve also demonstrated just how craven the GOP is, and the extent to which most Rs would do anything rather than point out the emperor is wearing a grotesque meat suit made of the skin of his constituents."
Trump's tariffs insanity begins to fracture the MAGA cult
Republican resistance is helpful. But more of it is needed.

Even among the darkest recesses of the human condition, there is no more paralyzing, bladder-loosening fear than conservative men’s fear of subways.
Sean Duffy: "The truth is, transit across America is dangerous. And these liberals -- liberal mayors -- they want everybody out of cars and into trains but they made the trains unsafe so nobody really wants to ride them ... even big men don't want to ride the subway at those times of night."
