One of the biggest moments of my career:
USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

Gotta say it's mindblowing to me that the Brown shooter is still at large and they don't even seem to have identified who they're looking for.

While many Republicans running for Congress in swing districts are going to try to distance themselves from Trump, Miller, Kash, Hegseth, RFK Jr, et al, they enabled ALL of it. They all supported Mike Johnson for Speaker, who abdicated all oversight and congressional authority.

Also, search the full version of Longfellow’s poem and read it.

In a very real way, Rob Reiner's run through the 1980s and 1990s defined what I thought "movies" were. Master of the basic cable classic. He was just insanely versatile. Funny, sweet, dark, and, occasionally, sad: he was one of the greats. RIP. www.thebulwark.com/p/rob-reiner...

I look forward to the day this article loses its evergreen status. It’s just ridiculous to live in a country that continues to allow this to happen.

i am fascinated by how nate silver turns everything he doesn’t like into a bespoke ideology. it’s not that he is annoyed by HCR, it is that she is a dreaded “ism” responsible for everything he doesn’t like about the democratic party. same with bluesky.

Democratic leadership didn’t want to stick their necks out for him. The GOP didn’t want him even referred to as a “Maryland man.” Sen. Chris Van Hollen, his congressional representative fought for him. And we should never forget any of this. apnews.com/article/abre...

Look I am famously opposed to Democrats focusing on kitchen-table stuff like healthcare but when the president is out here saying "Stop whining about your healthcare going away, losers" you pretty much gotta take that ball and run with it
Q: At the end of this year, those extended Obamacare subsidies expire. What's your message to those 24m Americans who will see their premiums go up?

TRUMP: Don't make it sound so bad. Obviously you're a sycophant for Democrats. You're obviously a provider of bad news for Republicans.

More importantly to them, I think, impeachment is hard and sustained effort, which they could otherwise spend doing the "real work" Jeffries refers to, by which he means essentially nothing whatsoever.

I’m but a simple country theoretical physicist, and I can say, in my professional capacity, “datacenters in space” is so colossally, monumentally stupid that it is difficult to know where to start with which laws of physics the idea is spitting in the face of the most.
“.. Skeptics believe the technical risks are being underestimated and say space-based data centers won’t be competitive on cost, especially if power and other constraints ease on the ground.”

A reminder that before the Trump admin/RFK took over this year, the U.S. had officially declared measles eliminated in 2000.
The measles outbreak in South Carolina is “accelerating” with no end in sight following Thanksgiving and other large gatherings, state health officials say.
