This week, we introduced new measures to strengthen and protect those industries, and the workers that power them.

Ontario and Manitoba just signed an agreement today to create to a national grid.
Connect them together and we have almost a complete national grid.
Ontario, Manitoba and BC all produce excess clean electricity off peak.
Quebec has lots of extra.
Wind West will produce more.
A important point everyone, even Premier Eby is hiding in his media announcements, is that a key part of the agreement is that Alberta builds a grid connection to BC and SK so that they will both be buying clean hydro electricity from BC.
The agreement literally expands clean energy use.
To build a stronger, more sustainable, and more competitive economy, our Liberal government is strengthening federal-provincial collaboration in the energy sector — diversifying our export markets, driving down emissions, and creating high-paying careers for Canadians.
