Exactement ce que j'ai dit à plusieurs fois en entrevue. Les moyennes du Ministère de l'Éducation ne valent rien.

For studies about CO2 and disease transmission… plotting a graph that shows continuous readings per day as three lines would be better than using medians. Maximum recorded, minimum recorded and average.

Because a lot of transmission of COVID can happen in a very short time.

After a long pause, I've just done another England Covid & NHS update as we head into the autumn/winter season.

TLDR: we're in a significant Covid wave now, the NHS is stretched, get boosted if you're eligible.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Bonne nouvelle: Le port du hijab n'est plus obligatoire en Iran. Bravo à toutes les femmes et hommes qui ont montrées tant de courage face à cet état liberticide.

🇮🇷 Iran has abolished the mandatory hijab, according to authorities.

Women who do not wear the hijab will no longer be fined or punished! The law was not enforced for longer already, but it’s official.

This decision by the authorities is partly the result of several waves of protests and

How bad are tariffs going?

I paid for $32 of shaving cream from Canada. Unique stuff I’ve used for years, nothing like it in US. Small family business.

UPS guy came to my door today with box and said I have to pay additional $120 before he can hand it to me.

That makes it 5x more expensive!!! 🤯
Screenshot of message from UPS:

Hi Adam,
All import fees must be paid prior to delivery.
Save time - prepay online for your FREIGHTCOM shipment. If import fees are not paid before delivery, an additional surcharge will be applied.
Total Amount Due
119.20 USD
Additional charges may have been applied based on recent tariff policy changes.

We need to get serious about protecting our tamariki. Study finds Long Covid risk for children doubles after a second infection.

La santé publique nationale du Québec doit se mettre au diapason de la science.

Elle a fait plusieurs erreurs en lien avec la Covid. Elle en fait encore.

C’est la population qui paie le prix avec sa santé.

We found a link between SARS-CoV-2 reinfection & #longCOVID, & a post-pandemic rise in thrombotic events across all populations, regardless of vaccination or prior infection. Findings support continued COVID diagnosis in suspected cases & mask use by healthcare workers treating respiratory patients

Thanks for writing about your experience, Theo. I value it.

I hate how many people have such strong opinions about something that is so foreign to them.

It's nice to see science been discussed respectfully on BlueSky. It gives me hope that we could rebuild the pre-Musk Twitter scientific community. It does not help that people are split on many platforms.

X is dystopian and insane. It makes my heart sink.

Salient point by Dr. Moriarty, here.
moriartylab.bsky.social
Progressive declines in test sensitivity and positivity duration (possibly variant-dependent, possibly related to population immunity) have led to a common misperception that infections declined substantially after early 2022, based on visual inspection of plots of waste water, hospitalization etc.

Tara, I have enjoyed reading this thread so much. I always wondered about the model your team came up with. It's nice to have it all written here.

Looking forward your posts tomorrow.

Loved this one.

A book about a hypothetical SARS-CoV-3 that’s really about what we should be doing now.

Grateful for its focus on Long COVID, on people, and the economy.
