He wasn't sure how his thoughts jumped from Elise to his parents but he did wonder how Elise would have liked his parents. Granted, they were a long way off from meeting, as in, never, but the thought did strike him. She probably would have liked his mom but tolerated his dad. He wondered about her parents as well. He knew they were in the Blank world, dodging a loan on the shop gone bad. Oddly enough, this is how he learned of Elise in the first place. He had read reports of her back she was a dead-drop agent but she never really piqued his interested until he was looking into replacing their potioneer. Once he got a hold of her photos and profile, it was all downhill for him. That level of skill and looks that could kill the average man? That was Chester's MO. Talent and looks in one package was hard to find. It was probably why he fell so hard so fast.

Been a while since I’ve done one of these. Been a little too burnt out with social media and the news cycle. It’ll be nice to get back into sharing my writing again.

In other news, Elise is an asshole when drunk and during a fight with her not-so-boyfriend.

He stayed oddly silent at that. "You know what they say about people backed into a corner. Only one way out." She pulled the dropper out as she used her feet to push the recliner stool back into the couch and quickly did drunk math on her weight and potency of the potion, concluding a specific dose before he could even sputter out a response. The bitter liquid hit the underside of her tongue and washed up onto her taste buds. The sourness, no matter how many times she had tasted it before, forced a pucker from her lips as she ripped off a piece of bread and shoved it in her mouth. It didn't do much, but the taste of yeast was better than the hell liquid going down her throat. "And how long before you sober up with that shit in your system?" "Nyeh, nyeh, nyeh. What, have you never taken a potions and effects class before? This is like basic 101 stuff." She mocked.

I’m an old fuddy duddy in that I believe we need less Discords and more forums and wikis for software and shit. The amount of inaccessible and poorly run Discords I’ve had to join to get basic support for software is astounding when things could be CLEARLY laid out within an easily searchable forum.

Still deep in the throes of depression but I managed to rewrite a full chapter of the sequel to my main project and it made me feel a little bit better. Transforming a post NaNoWriMo project to something actually readable is therapeutic as it turns out.
