I never repost bad news without something YOU can do to stop it. Times are bleak, but we're still at a crossroads in history. It is easier now to stop it than it will ever be in the future. Calls work. Representatives are worried about losing votes.
Please make the fucking phone call.

I also should mention: the meeting next week regarding these bills is a hearing, they're going to be examined, not immediately voted upon. This is why it's important to not just call and say to vote no, but explain that any kind of ID or photo based age verification is a violation of privacy.

ALL of these shown bills mandate identity verification on the internet. I've read them.
CALL YOUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES. Tell them to vote NO on each.

If you can't get off your gooner ass for the good of every artist on the internet, or don't wanna see "scary political stuff", please unfollow me.

After slow-walking critical funding for lifesaving research, the Trump administration has sabotaged the NIH grantmaking process so that researchers get LESS money on average and LESS time to use it.

No one is asking to fund less cancer research, but that's what's happening.
The U.S. Is Funding Fewer Grants in Every Area of Science and Medicine
A quiet policy change means the government is making fewer bets on long-term science.

Fentanyl. Drug Overdoses, including Fentanyl, are not even in the top 20 causes of death in the USA. Cancer, Diabetes, Covid, Heart Disease all in the top 10, and all have had their research funding cut. They aren't murdering just Venezuelans. However they are killing us much slower.

The President could die of natural causes very soon.
Mikie Johnson having "Trump" phone in to a rally for TN-7 seems like a very convenient way of usurping Trump's voice without actually having him present.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS. THEY DON'T HAVE A BACKUP TRUMP. IF HE DIES, THEY WILL TRY THIS

The weather is getting colder here, and my boys don’t have enough warm clothes to stay safe this winter. 💔
We’re doing everything we can, but it’s really beyond our ability right now.

We’re hoping to raise £200 to buy essential winter items.
Even £25 from you means warmth for a child. ❤️🧥

Committee hearings begin tomorrow.

Either you understand that there is an organized campaign to push trans people out of public life with the explicit end goal of "morally mandating us out of existence" that is backed by some of the wealthiest individuals to have ever lived, or you're simply not equipped to grasp what's happening.

This is genocide. Explicitly. The first step in killing off a population is ensuring that they’re not allowed to engage in public life.

I am so tired of reading "this isn't what this country is" and "the fore fathers would be disgusted" when them mother fuckers owned people and perpetuated genocide...

Free yourselves from the shackles of caring what those evil fucks would want so we can try and actually do good.

"This isn't what our founding fathers fought for" isn't a good argument against the madness happening now bc it erases all the evil shit they perpetuated on SO MANY.

Ignoring truths about what makes the US run, including myths of the nobility of the founders, is a big part of why this is happening.
