This would be really an indictment of Merrick Garland for not pushing this harder if he had this information on hand and it was NOT put out there. Clearly the entire 2024 election would have been different.

Everyone is correcting the substance here so I'll skip ahead to note that the last year has been a good test of the theory that most people just want bigotry rather than housing (& etc.) and that theory turns out to be totally wrong for a large majority, including virtually all the swing voters.

If you practice in the field, it’s dark. Nothing that has come out of the immigration court system has been positive. It’s been overwhelmingly negative. Punitive, absurd, and frightening. USCIS not much better.

I don’t live in California, but the only thing this guy is known for doing as governor is arresting homeless people and going to a five star restaurant without a mask on the middle of COVID. I can’t see him generating major enthusiasm.
