🦋 A sukkah is a sacred, collectively held space where we welcome others in. In our movement, it represents the shared safety and belonging we build alongside our immigrant neighbors.

💛 In response, Never Again Action is launching our Sukkah of Sanctuary campaign with a bold goal: to raise $54,000, triple chai, by the end of Tishrei, the first month of the Jewish calendar. This unprecedented escalation demands an unprecedented response.

🧊 As we begin the new Jewish year, the federal government begins its new fiscal year - one in which ICE's budget is set to triple.

Immigrant rights and social justice organizations across Georgia are sounding the alarm after witnessing the largest ICE raid in history at the Hyundai supplier and LG Energy Solution plant in Ellabell, GA. Without warning, 475 workers were taken from their jobs midday.

Each of us must, like Judge Sooknanan, take every possible opportunity to show up for our neighbors.

No matter if it's 2:30 in the morning or 2:30 in the afternoon. No matter if the state violence is directed at children or adults.

We must not stand down.

💛 Xóchitl was instrumental to NAA’s formation as a Cosecha Boston organizer in 2019. So many times she showed up with us as we collectively demanded “never again para nadie (for no one).” We must never leave our friends behind. Now, we must show up alongside Xóchitl in the fight for her freedom.

🗣️ We must demand Xóchitl’s immediate release because we will not give into fear. Instead, we must be clear in our commitment to show up for our friends who have put their lives on the line to show up for their community.

🦋 The government is targeting Xóchitl, even though she has DACA status, which should protect her from deportation. They are trying to chip away at protections for all immigrants and to intimidate people into leaving this country, their home.

📢 Xóchitl is being targeted by DHS because she's an organizer. She has dedicated her life to the immigrant rights movement. Now DHS is trying to use her in their campaign of fear. They're trying to intimidate organizers & activists from protesting the rising attacks against immigrant communities.
