With the death of Twitter I decided I wanted to stop outsourcing everything I say about sports to social media and pick up blogging again. I set up a new site and while it'll probably be mostly Nats as the you finally get more interesting, I'll be doing some Caps, Hokies, Commies, Mystics, etc. too.

So many people incorrectly use video game goal to describe very complicated goals, but this is the correct application. One player just skated from center ice right up to the goalie then did one stick move before shooting it in.

The nice thing about this league is it gives a context to see players like Whitmore look as good as they are instead of as someone struggling with an 8 ERA. I'm sure that experience has scared away players like Davis in the past. No one wants to go from LLWS shutout to barely hanging on.
