"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

100% send imho there's only a tiny slither of exceptions here. People in their last decade of working life who truly know enough, care enough and have the time and space to selflessly give back. An intensely rare breed. In fact probably already entirely extinct in most universities.
Few self-respecting scholars choose to become university administrators.

It is populated by swimmers in the shallow end of the intellectual pool, would-be and real fascists, and people of limited imagination.

This should worry everyone.

“US officials contacted by Reuters were surprised by Trump's announcement and unaware of any ongoing military operations to enforce a closure of Venezuelan airspace.”

Trump’s failing faculties could walk the US into war.

There's a guy on Facebook Marketplace selling properties around Gary, IN for $20-$30k and trying to really amp them up. Sir, it doesn't matter that there's a walk-in garage (what does that mean) when the house has been clearly set on fire and has no windows.

There are specific reasons Trumpists want war on Venezuela, but there‘s a generic one: they crave power to make war on anyone, any time, for completely fabricated reasons, and then to use the guise of war to increase violence and repression everywhere, including home.

They are lawless bestial scum.
