Thread for storing books I'm reading/have read - anything and everything really.

First up, a very thoughtful Kris Kindle gift from a colleague.

I'm hoping I can finish it before the year wraps up. 📚 📖 📙 📘
Current read. Smartphone Nation by Dr Kaitlyn Regehr.

I would recommend it for anyone and everyone even remotely concerned about how technology has become always on in our lives.

Important and relevant evidence of the problems and the solutions we can aim for.

Read/listened to (thanks for options local library and app) A Heart that Works by Rob Delaney.

This may be one of the best and most devastating things I've read. This book has had me crying it's that powerful.

It may also be one of the most beautiful ways to share Henry's life and their story.

Damn, Grimlock. Maybe don’t do that next time.

A lot of the usual suspects. List is grand.

'Othello' for Shakespeare is a good one to see in the rotation.

Would it be a chore to give Shawshank a year off though?

One of my favourite podcasts. @99pi.org

It's sad to see so many physical spaces in shopping centres close up. The loss of jobs and even central community spaces is a sad trend.

But is there a way to adjust and adapt the spaces left behind?

It's so important to have a variety of places to socialise and interact with others.

Not everything needs to revolve solely around alcohol.

Would have loved more places like this when I was younger.
‘Kids now don’t want to drink’: Dublin’s dry(ish) pub, one year on
Board’s clientele come for its big array of drinks – no longer all alcohol-free – and even bigger array of games
