I'm going to go talk to the property owner (I know him), and find out how to contact the farmer leasing to see if and what any options there might be.

This farm is land owned by a long term family who leases to farmers. The farmers are the ones who lose in this particular situation.

First person account. Tomatoes, squash, and corn rotting neglected in the vast farm behind me. It had been more quiet this whole year, but eerily quiet recently. Walked over and saw this. It's abnormal.

Found out the foreman was taken by ICE a few weeks ago. 1/2

He was going to his yearly immigration check in, and was taken at the courthouse.

Now they can't find anyone to pick the vegetables. It's rotting.

This isn't Los Angeles or San Francisco, this is the outskirts of San Luis Obispo. Central Coast.

People are going to starve.
