A education guy and artist who likes people, cats, good food, good wine, a good read, fun games, coffee, and cocktails. You can’t iterate to revolution. Poetry is essential to love.
We know what happens. This is shamefully ignorant or horrifyingly criminal.
RFK Jr. appointee Kirk Milhoan has just clearly stated, out loud, that he wants to experiment on the people of the United States by seeing what happens as vaccination coverage plummets and infectious diseases spread.

I’ve now realised that when I got sick while travelling, about 90 days ago, I was so sick that it left a visible furrow from right to left in all of my fingernails. I’d seen the impact on my fitness but the fact it slowed my nail growth to less than half? Wow. I wasn’t well _at all_.

Somewhat embarrassingly for an Australian, I have returned from leave sunburned. No excuses, I know better. I’m working from home so I can cover myself in aloe vera and leave my shirt off. I will use more sunscreen this year! ☀️🔥🤦‍♂️

I've just returned from a brief holiday on the Australian East Coast and I had a chance to think about what the new leadership role at the Uni will mean. One thing I felt I had to do, although it was honestly a tough decision to make, was tidy up the work/personal aspects of my social media. This means unfriending (what a loaded term) some people who I've known through work for a while.

Being a subset of interesting books from my collection, accompanied with explanatory texts of varying utility, as well as references to this blog. A very rapid summary in far too much detail. I recently had reason to distill my thoughts on why games, play, and the playing of games were a valid and even necessary area of discussion when talking about education.

Some people are always thinking bigotry and slurs, they’re just waiting for the opportunity to yell it at their victims without censure, to hurt others from the comfort of the safe seats. Bigoted, stupid, cowardly, and evil.

Not surprised at the number of bots/chuds that showed up in this thread to defend the Nazi salute, but I *am* disappointed at the number of people in the comments who chose to argue with those fucking losers. Don't engage the bots/chuds, people. That's what they want. Block them without comment.
Also, it was a fuckin Nazi salute come the fuck on

I made post walk breakfast with leftovers: halloumi, salumi, tomatoes, plus some onions, shallots, and eggs because I’m not a total barbarian.

This guy is only a little famous but he’s certainly helped me to realise what a good life can look like. This is Arland D. Williams Jr. I have other people I could put here for humour but I put him here for honour.

Your daily reminder that words are just playthings to fascists. They have no binding to truth, they just say anything to achieve their goals. If they can waste your time arguing with them, they’re stopping you doing anything else.

Obviously have to move a lot of presence here due to the upcoming tire fire that once was FB. Time to pack up my social napkin on a stick. Again.

Interesting to come back here and find this. I did a lot with “Energise” but I decided a few days ago that the next year was going to be a really great year -
I think I need a new word.
My word for this year is “Energise”. To activate, to invigorate, to instil with enthusiasm. Let’s see how this goes.

I’m not new but here is my #proofofcat. This is Nina. She wants to know where her food is, why aren’t you cuddling her, and where her food is.

We keep doing this and we keep getting the same result. We can change the lives of millions tomorrow. (And everyone benefits)
Another basic income pilot focused on homelessness has released preliminary results after only 6 months because halfway through the experiment, it is already showing incredible effectiveness.

$750/mo for 6 months led to homelessness dropping to 12% versus 23% in the control group on a wait list.
$750 a month, no questions asked, improved the lives of homeless people
A study by USC and a San Francisco-based nonprofit has found that a $750 monthly stipend improves the lives of homeless people.
