We must make racism disgraceful again. This kind of shameless ugly inadequacy from Pochin should be career-ending, not career-enhancing. Honestly… the Little England nastiness is repulsive.

Keir Starmer shouldn't wait until the likely fiasco of the May local elections. If he has any concern for party and country, he should step aside now, giving his successor as long as possible to undo the damage of his disastrous premiership and restore hope in politics.

There are many good science fiction novels. Not a single one that I have read delivers a happy vision of the future in which aged right-wing billionaires control the media.

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

A reference to China being an "enemy" of the UK was removed from key evidence for a collapsed spy trial in 2023 as it "did not reflect government policy" under the Conservatives at the time, according to the national security adviser

Stockbroking company puts out a campaign statement to convince the Chancellor to cut stamp duty on share dealings, gets a call from #R4Today to make the case for seven minutes.
Much worse news, US still pronounces 'Graham' like 'Gram'.
Shocking.

the Biggest criticism of Polanski seems to be that his politics are utopian and unrealisable in practice - these same people saying this are voting for parties who are all arguing about who can ethnically cleansed Britain the fastest, so you know… pinch of salt pinch of salt

Katie Lam should be hounded by public outcry to resign from parliament and it’s disturbing that not enough people are calling for her resignation
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

Honestly, the mainstream media reaction to Zack Polanski entering the elites’ own conversation space…

…with widely-held public opinions…

…tells you everything you need to know about why our mainstream media is a closed shop, broken, and no longer fit for purpose.

Sky News now offering clarification.

They’d previously stated that the Maccabi ban was just about safety of Maccabi fans.

Now they admit it was also about Maccabi violence.

Ladies & gentlemen, our corrupt journo-political complex just got caught out.

The fact that Labour need to have an massive internal discussion about their fear of losing the vote of "that bloke who votes Reform and likes setting fire to buildings with foreigners trapped in them" before it condemns Katie Lam's plans is not a comms issue, it's a decency one.

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social says it’s ‘peculiar’ that the case of Farage ally Nathan Gill admitting to making pro-Russia speeches for cash isn’t being followed more closely.

A lot of people seem to struggle with the simple reality that Labour government comms are not part of some grand game of 4D chess they are playing. They are just bad. I mean, really, really bad.
