In stolzer Stille schweigt der See,

In 2018, I bought the Levi’s Commuter Pro in Manhattan. I’ve worn them weekly ever since and they won’t wear out. Levi’s stopped making them, supposedly due to costs, but I think it’s because they simply last forever. I still can’t find a replacement and worry what I’ll do if they ever break.

At least I took my baby steps today after some years of absence and wrote some code to create this image in #p5js

Let’s say I want to get back into #creativecoding… what are the cool kids using these days?
Back in university, about 10 years ago, I worked a lot with #Processing and #p5js. I want to create abstract images, print them and maybe experiment with animations.

The problem with remastered games is that while graphics and controls get updated, the core structure stays the same. In Metroid Prime, the fixed save points are frustrating. Metroid Dread shows this concept can work today but is integrated much more smoothly, making the gameplay more fluid.

Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved.

We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.

One of my Showerthoughts:
I want to be technically involved in a social network.
After six years on Mastodon, I’m so used to offering the network as a service that I simply can’t do otherwise.

Ending something is an art. Whether it’s a project, a story, or a relationship, finishing is hard. Yet a deliberate ending brings clarity and frees up space for new beginnings. How do you handle endings?

After my half marathon, I accidentally broke my running streak because I thought I needed a lot of rest.
Now, after a month off, I can tell you: it was a terrible idea.
My legs hurt, and it’s cold and dark outside.
Sticking with habits that are good for your health isn’t always easy.
